InterTradeIreland is organising a series of free workshops for established SMEs who are interested in learning about new and alternative sources of finance for their business.

The workshops are part of InterTradeIreland’s new ‘Funding for Growth’ advisory service and will be delivered at various locations across the island. Registration for these free events is now open.

Businesses in Dublin, Antrim and Galway lead the way
 
The search for the most innovative organisations across the island is one step closer following the announcement of the shortlist for the Irish Times InterTradeIreland Innovation Awards.

Eighteen nominees  North and South across six different industry categories have been named in the shortlist. The aim of the awards, which are now in their sixth year, is to showcase and reward excellence in innovation across a range of products and services.

Latest InterTradeIreland Report Published – 'SMEs, Credit Constraints and Growth: A Cross-Border Study'
 

InterTradeIreland’s latest report  - ‘SMEs, credit constraints and growth: A cross-border study’  published today, follows up on previous research by InterTradeIreland on 'access to finance'.

The report shows how the improving economic environment is reflected in the financial position of firms, with the numbers suffering from credit constraints halving between 2012 and 2014, and a significant increase in the numbers of businesses showing no signs of financial distress.

Cartoon Saloon, an Irish animation firm based in Kilkenny, is in the running for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Song of the Sea tells the story of Ben and his little sister, Saoirse - the last Seal-child - who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea.

Cartoon Saloon recently completed the InterTradeIreland Acumen Programme - helping them with Cross-Border sales support.
