The Opportunity
Paddy Savage, Operations Manager for Trade Programmes said: 'The whole purpose of the Acumen Sales and Marketing Programme is to help businesses North and South to sell across the border. Significant levels of cross-border sales and resulting growth can be achieved if companies can find and recruit a skilled and dedicated cross-border sales resource. This is what Acumen does and the results bear this out. We are now looking for eligible companies to get in touch for funding now available in 2016, particularly companies based in the Munster and Connacht regions”.
Funding Available
Full time sales support - Acumen will fund up to 50% of the cost of a Sales Person’s salary in the first year. The maximum cost covered can be up to €37,500/£30,000 with Acumen paying up to €18,750/£15,000.
Part time sales support - As an alternative to hiring a full-time person in the target cross-border market, our Acumen programme can also offer you support towards employing a part-time sales person.The maximum cost covered can be €20,000/£16,000 with Acumen paying 50% and you paying the balance.
Market research - If you are not ready to consider specific recruitment, Acumen can provide your company with specialist consultancy support of up to £4,000/€5,000 to research cross-border opportunities and implement a cross-border strategy.
