Brexit - are we nearly there yet?

New supports for SMEs to access public spending worth €12 billion

At the end of January, Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan TD launched a new range of materials from the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) to encourage SME participation in the Irish public procurement process.
SMEs - the initiative includes a series of introductory breakfast briefings in Waterford, Athlone, Cork, Galway, Newbridge and Limerick, organised by InterTradeIreland, whilst free to attend you must register! A range of videos explaining the procurement process was also launched - including case studies.

InterTradeIreland presents four companies with innovation awards at national event

InterTradeIreland FUSION Exemplars 2017 |

At an event held on the 23rd January in Carton House Hotel, Co. Kildare, InterTradeIreland awarded ‘Project Exemplar’ status to the following SMEs:
- Ceramicx, Co. Cork
- Cf Pharma, Co. Kilkenny
- Deluxe Group, Co. Armagh
- Statsports Technologies, Co. Down
These SMEs were judged to be the four best FUSION projects of 2017 (VIDEO) in terms of the level of innovation, benefits achieved and overall contribution to the programme. Between them, the ‘Project Exemplar’ companies have reported combined sales, savings and investments of over €570,000 and have projected further sales, savings and investments of almost €20m over the next three years.
